mouse roller changing camera
« on: November 02, 2015, 05:50:01 pm »

Hi Anim8or pro's! I loaded an old save to change some things but I need the camera to be exactly where I had it originally.  When I'm in scene mode and my view is set to camera by mistake I hit the roller, the "key" button isn't highlighted but it seems to permanently change the cameras' position, is there a way to "reset" the camera to where it was originally?

Unfortunately not. If you were still in the Scene editor you could Undo the change, but after you've left the Undo history is lost.

Note: With the Animate button enabled, changes apply to a single Key frame (also affecting adjacent ones up to the next Key positions for that controller). With the Animate button off changes are applied globally, to the entire Scene.  That's why you can still change things even when the Animate button is off.

Thanks Steve that's good to know.  I have been playing with it and it is definitely a trade off because I do like changing certain things globally at times, actually quite often!   I'll be fine with the new stuff compositing over the old with a little adjustment.
