Did support for Windows XP get dropped?
« on: October 22, 2014, 04:35:54 pm »

I tried running 1118 on an XP OS, but the the program never actually runs? Just thought I'd inquire. Leroy.

I'm running 1118 on windows xp (SP3).  On a toshiba satelllite laptop.
 No probs.

However, in my case,  1113 onwards will not run on Win 7. This could be something in my graphics tho. Am not sure.
When you try opening it in xp, does it appear not to open, but shows as running in the windows task manager?
Thats the problem a couple of us have with windows 7, but xp is running the latest anim8ors just fine.
Have you tried setting compatability to 'windows xp, SP3' ?
Right click on Anim8or exe -> properties ->  compatability -> windows xp service pack 3

Edit. Then theres the short answer:

It's probably a bug else where. When new things are added in pretty much any software from any developer, bugs are bound to be created somewhere.

It just never opens like previous version did? No errors appear so it has me totally clueless.

I see Steve released 1122, it runs good on Windows 7 and I'll try that version on my XP system. Thanks for the replies. Leroy.
