Ornate Kitchen Faucet
« on: August 23, 2014, 06:06:38 am »

Hey everyone, it's been several years since I last posted but I've recently rediscovered my love of 3D modelling and animation.

Just wanted to share with you what I've been working on lately. I was at IKEA the other day and saw this particular tap in the kitchen area. I took a few snaps of it and decided to model it.

I need to do a bit more work on the handle (smoothing/proportions/material tweaking) and I have plans to build the rest of the kitchen around this particular tap/faucet in a traditional style.

All the modelling was done in Anim8or with renders completed in Blender (cycles). The benchtop and splashback are merely placeholders at this point.

Let me know what you think!

Started working on the sink, needs a bit of tightening on the inside edges but its proving to be a bit of a hassle  ::)

  • Couldn't ever use Blender or Maya. Anim8or's good.

Good grief. that rendering quality is fantastic, and the model is superb!
