Questions About Software
« on: December 21, 2013, 11:04:01 pm »

Hello everyone!

I'm quite new to this software, and even the forums. I have taken interest in Animation a couple years ago, and have even started an animated series on my YouTube channel. I really wanted to get better with more professional softwares, and this looked like the place to go. I'm 15, but I won't let that stop me. Just because I'm young can't mean I can't handle this, I'm really committed. I'm also a creative, and highly intelligent guy when it comes to computer technology.

Enough about me though. I had some questions that I thought I could have answered before I take this into full swing. First off, this software is an animation software, right? Not just 3D modeling. I can make things move in frames and such right? I assume so, but I wanted to be sure. Also, as much as some might be a bit annoyed with this, could this software be used to make Minecraft Animations? Take ElementAnimation for example. Is this software capale of doing such amazing things? Can I use those textures and import schematics? Etc?

Other than those questions, this software looks really fun to learn and I really would find joy in using it.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum CortGaming.

I wouldn't know about the minecraft stuff but I can tell you that anim8or does indeed animate figures. For a simple tutorial on animation to get you in the swing of animating things using bones I would recommend this: anim8or.com/learn/tutorials/simplewalk/index.html

Then learing the basics of morph targets: anim8or.com/learn/tutorials/from_users/morphs/MorphTut.htm

Then I would also recommend you read the manuals breakdown of animation here: anim8or.com/learn/manual/8_animation.html

Hope this helps
