It is finally here, the highly anticipated ANIM8OR NEWB PROJECT!!!
After weeks of callaboration the project is finally here. And thanks to many other newbs and kreator we have our own space and this project is going to be great. You can find the space at http://animanon.xtreemhost.com/index.php this is where all of the discussion will be and everything about the project and more is here. So just come on by and take a look at the space. You have to be a member but it is worth it!! The project is under newbie stuff then newbs come...

                      ANIM8OR NEWB PROJECT!!!
BACKGROUND: The story behind this project is that I have noticed there has been alot of projects going on such as anim8or the movie and so on. This will give us newbs a chance to make our own project and help broaden our horizon on anim8or.

HOW IT WILL WORK: If you want to join reply to the post saying I want to join. Simple as that!!! If you want a job tell us what job you want and we will see what we can do. Also we will take donated models!!! Like if there is a model that you made and you want us to use it in the short film just attach the file on the forum or email it to me at travelin_texan3@yahoo.com  WE DO NOT CARE WHAT THE MODEL IS!!! it can be from an eggplant to your latest work. So please join in on the fun!!!

THE THEME: The theme is a classroom with a boring old lady teaching the desert food chain and a kid falls asleep and is then transfer to the desert. During his dream a fly is seen eating some carcass and gets eaten by a lizard then the lizard gets eaten by a snake who is then eaten by an eagle and while this is happening random events are happening in the background. So as you can tell we have endless possiblilites on the models we can use so donate whatever you want. We will build on that.

THE CACHE: There is none except IF WE DO NOT GET ENOUGH HELP THE PROJECT CAN AND WILL BE DROPED!!! so please help.

EXPERTS: It would be nice if you all can give us some advice on the way, you dont have to but it would help us learn anim8or even more, also kreator and the other pros on this forum said they will help us out so its going to be great

I should be completing a few more models over the weekend.
I'm working a lizzard and a classroom at the min.

wow, i need to start working, are there any simple models that need doing? i'm not too good at small details, but i think i can make background and simple objects, and some other things

I've been collecting various pictures of items that I was going to model at a later stage for example:
An old wooden wagon.
Old barrels and boxes / crates etc
Western type saloon.
Trees and other old mexican / wild west style buildings.

Additionally I have just taken some photos of an artists human figure.


I plan to make a very quick ragdoll with posable limbs / joints using Anim8or for anyone to download to assist them with human models.
Should be fun as I have not yet had a go of any type of animation yet. This program is so user friendly i'm confident it won't be too difficult.
If it is there are loads of very nice people on the forum to lend a hand.

falloffalot: Check the animation section in animanon... I posted a mannequin thing in that section with rig sequence and scene.... My hagups with walk cycles

Very cool and smooth animation that. I've not even attempted any animation of any kind yet.
But when I do i'll be posting plenty of help questions on both forums and having a closer look at yours to see how you got it so smooth.

My model will be purely for scale only as I've always struggled with human figures when scetching & drawing, the old fashioned way (pens, pencils and paper)
I've had enough help so far and would like to give a little back ,so hopefully this model will help others as well.
