Low Polly tree - this ones for you FromSoySauce ;)
« on: November 18, 2012, 07:25:38 pm »

So I decided to make a newer tree that isnt a whole waste of polygons (the other one in my engine is like 1000 and more faces just for one tree :P ), so here we go I made my version of a low polygon tree.
(note: lighting is not enabled in the image)

EDIT: added a second image, this time a little further out

Now your thinking with restrictions :)

Looking good from the low-angle. But for it to look good from the far-sight, I'd add about 5 more branches where that bald area in the middle is. After that your tree-model will be ready for forestation.

Cool. I can even tell it's a sequoia. You might consider a couple of very mild bends, twists and taper variations in the trunk. Nothing grows quite that straight.

I am afraid you probably are only half correct.
1 I tweaked the colour of the branches
2 the trunk is from a different tree than the branches
;p
