OMG, I found a ton of GMAX resources on my system!
« on: September 04, 2012, 06:55:47 pm »

In the early days I used GMAX briefly and became a pack rat in terms of downloading everything that I could get my greedy little fingers on. I have most of the gamepacks, plugins, 3rd party import and export maxscripts that apparently are no longer available on the web. If anyone needs something just let me know and I'll make it available somehow either by uploading the stuff here or on my modeling forum. Cheers, Leroy.

Guess you could use a public Dropbox http://db.tt/7JlFktO to sign up, this is my public box

or you could use google drive,
my shared Anim8or_runtime

Just a bit of work I am always willing to share with like minded enhusiasts.

I can also use my public Sky Drive account. I still has about 25 gigs available. GMAX, is an excellent software though a bit complicated to use compared to Anim8or. I have quite few 3rd party model import and export plugins. I've started using the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 gamepack with it's dual MDL X exporter combo. Animation is also exported with the X model format it writes out. I use it in conjuction with 3D Exploration to convert my X models to SI XSI version 1x complete with animation.

I'm starting to re learn GMAX again and maybe play around with the maxscript editor to see what's possible in terms of developing an import script for use in importing .a8 animations directly. I wonder if anyone on this forum has some experience working with Max script? Like ASL, maxscripts are written in plain text, so they're human readable and modifiable as well.
