Centura - The Car of the Future
« on: September 30, 2012, 08:23:33 pm »

So, a loooong while back (months ago, probably), I began the basic modelling of this strange futuristic sportscar. It IS of course, a hovercraft (how's the future without 'em?). I tossed up a quickie render in ART, no AA just to show what we're essentially looking at at the moment.
In the final, it'll be a video advert (seiously this time, not the lie I told on my last project) depicting some sweet footage of this thing ripping through a tunnel. Have a look below at what I've got so far.
(also, sorry for the bad quality- didn't know Anim8or had pretty bad native .jpg output quality)

Strange, no replies. Whatever- here's an update on my progress from that same shot.

Oh yeah, That..... I actually faked that with some image post-processing. It's a several-step process:

1) Have your base color. Ambient is around 5, diffuse at 1, emissive at least 1, and whatever else you want to add to make it look nice.

2) In the Scene, where the model is, I actually DID NOT use fog- I simply have a light centered at my car with a lot of falloff, then render with black background.

But yeah, that's it, as far as the yellow color- step one should be enough.

@Blick: Thanks! Right now, it's fuel-of-choice is creativity juice :)
@ian: Yup, just a little brain-stretch, and possibly some cool anim8or promotion. :D
