Hi.. If u r new at animation I would strongly suggest u not to start doing faces.. I am new as well I found face modelling is a bit complex and might make u frustrated... go through the manual first (very very very very important), then do the tutorials.. when u feel confident then u can start modelling complex objects like human figures... anyway, u will find a very good tutorial on face on modelling on mp3d website

good luck.

I agree, if you're very very new as you say you are, I would not advise starting with a face.  Begin with the basics and work your way up.  Read the manual and play with the tools, then follow tutorials and learn about techniques and experiment with what you learn.  After a bit you'll get up to the level of tutorials on modeling faces, but you have a ways to go first.

Hello do this

http://www.3dtotal.com/ffa/tutorials/max/joanofarc/joanmenu.asp

Joan of arc tuttorial is industry standard.

The clue in anim8or is hold down the shift key when you first start drawing your first line, otherwise nothing will happen.

Do the tutorial a few times and you will get much better at it.

go here if you run int trouble

best set of tuts for anim8or around.

well there's a simple way to make carved out faces, like a pumpkin, but they don't turn out very realistic, if that's what you're looking for, they are more for scenery or background
