Applying bone weights and running into a delima.
How can you apply the weights areas such as the inside of the thighs and armpits?

It's a good thing to model your character in a T-pose. This will give you more control in the skinning process and will reaching in difficult corners more easy. Also you turn on wireframe mode to see through object. This way you can still skin faces that are hard to reach.

Remember als to model the pelvis area in a sort of v-shape so that its easier for skinning. I remember having so much trouble with that area in moving the thighs.

also remember that when u paint your weights u paint the edge points. (the tiny squares that connect your lines) sometimes its just hard to reach those hard to reach places.
