WHAT is wrong with my shadows!?
« on: May 03, 2011, 06:30:39 pm »

Well, I was working on my project for History Class which I was creatively doing in Anim8or. I was going to surprise you all, but this problem turned up and forced me to tell it.  My shadows seem to be... inverted in this scene.  Can someone tell me what's wrong here?

It's an infinite light and it's only doing that in camera view.  it looks like there's a polygonally shaped thing in the way, almost like the light is backwards.  This is Volume shadows, Ray-trace seems to work just fine, but I don't want to go through that much time.  For now I'll give up on shadows, but I still want to know what's going on with this

The Volume Shadow feature has a bug that has never been resolved and is best avoided.  Although slower it is best to use ray traced shadows instead.

Aww darnit. well thanks anyway.  I don't think my history classmates are going to notice. I can just say "it was cloudy and there's no shadows"
