Well, certainly not before April now :P

It's a rather big project even individually, so I understand how it could take a while even to make a little progress. For now I'd like to see some progress first before making any more deadlines, so that we can see what kind of timeframe we're looking at.

Work on this at your leisure and enjoyment ;)

Good to know, I have had to put this aside for a couple of other projects.  Initial modelling is progressing well, I should be able to put up a WIP shortly.  I definitely want to 'finish' this one (if anything is ever truly finished!).

All my progress is in http://www.anim8or.com/smf/index.php?topic=3917.0 The most Horrid, disgusting thing in the history of planet earth.  because that's how it started.... hideous. I'm still trying to perfect my walk cycle, of course I never get it right the first time. Maybe i'll take a look at Steve's Bird walk cycle steps instead of the one I found on Google.

Been thinking of this the last few days. I need to finish up. ^^

I'm still hoping Kreator was right that Steve will check in soon.

I forgot my original concept somehow for this after college dumped its load on me. I'm gonna have to come up with another one. XD

EDIT: I thought of an awesome short! Just that it involves a color bar the type you see at the beginning of a video(or when a channel signs off). Any chance this concept have any place?

well, if it's at the beginning of your clip, you could request it to go at the beginning of the video

I feel... a bit bad if I ask it be placed first <_<

Perhaps I'll just make it and just let it be placed whereever.

Storyboarding time!

I soon finish the modelling..(i've got a lot work at the university). I'm just planning the scene. My robot(gundam) going to take care of the anim8or figure(the red sphere bird) like a dad who's trying to help to his child's first steps (that's exactly the scene). If i'm holding you back then I'll get out.

Janro, I don't think anyone's got plans for the first scene, so if you want it then you can have it. If you need the color bars to be an extension to the animation time, then it might work out since it can be before the music begins.

Bugtrooper, sounds like a good idea, you've got plenty of time so by all means continue working on it ;)

I rendered my 10-second scene last night, so I'm going to do the Codec part now. Could I possibly email it to you, Raxx? (if the file is small enough to send)

Edit: The Xvid codec isn't showing up in the virtualdub list. is there a specific place I should have saved the codec to when I downloaded it?

Did you install the .exe file and are you using the 32-bit version of virtualdub?

Yep, but I put thecodec in "my documents" I couldn't figure out where to put it (if i missed something let me know) I didn't put it in Program Files first, I'm paranoid about downloads..

Hm, while I believe the registry gets updated regardless of where you install it...it might be best to install it in the default directory. Just to be, uh, sure...you did double-click the xvid .exe setup file to install it correctly via the installer, right?
