My meshes don't have any points!
« on: November 16, 2010, 07:19:16 am »

I recently moved from Rendering in Anim8or to Daz3d, but I still use Anim8or to model. I spent my entire year of Anim8or work using basic shapes and not being able to grasp making my own model. Now, however, I am beginning to understand it. But then I try and edit a mesh square there are no points! They're still there, its just I can;t see them and I can't make heads without seeing them. I can see them if there subdivided but that means by final meshes don't look like how I constructed them.

Where am I going wrong? Is it a setting i've turned off/haven't turned on?

Please help!

Oh dear. Just quickly discovered I was viewing it in smooth view rather than wireframe. How Embarrassing. :P

  • Couldn't ever use Blender or Maya. Anim8or's good.

I think you can choose in File-> Config GUI to see points in FLat or Smooth Shaded view, in case you wanted to see it another way while modeling.
