Thanks but on that 2nd link where it says

follow steps using and in Anim8or, is easy!

How do you use them 2 tools and when I'm selecting faces I have converted to mesh and I can only select the faces behind how do I fix it.

Thanks

look up edge loops. they will give u a great view on how to model.

i think you have your faces inside out. if they are blue when you select them that means the inside is on the outside. select all your faces and go to edit>flip normals. (i think its in edit).

also look at some (of the better) models wireframes. you will get a better idea on what to do with that as well.

If you are going to box model a head then you use just one box and not three.
If you look at your third picture, how do you plan to join these boxes into a head ??

When you watch the youtube video, most new users are not aware that qqqsimmons has pre-set up his modelling so what you are actually looking at is a premade face that has the top edge selected.

So he started by using the extrude edge tool, dragging the edge up then switching to the move tool to adjust his points to the profile of the face.

Once he has the profile it is just a case of extruding the edges and adjusting to the other ref view he has ... ( I might add it looks easy but it is not!! )

part III is here...
