Help w/ bone moving in sequence
« on: October 29, 2010, 05:55:31 pm »

I boned and painted the bones for a dog, and when i try to move it it the sequence, the bone just doesn't go a straight direction i want it to go, it kinda curves when i move it, kinda hard to explain so heres the file to try it out. Try moving the thigh bone closer to the leg bone (like hes running) and you'll see whats wrong.

(I didn't download it) but i'm guessing you're having a similar problem as my Cursed Horse had.  try adding joint movement in the Y and Z axes and that way you can straighten it out

The problem is that your all your axises are messed up for that bone. Straighten them out in the figure editor (turn on Show Axis by clicking the button in the toolbar or pressing shift+x) by rotating them using the right mouse button until the green axis circle looks like it's pointing in the direction the thigh would normally bend.

you mite also find you want too add another bone on the hind legs. just a spacer or a dead bone that dont move anything but brings the leg bones over like you did in the front,
