Oh that would be me :)

But seriuosly I assume you need terrain and at least some rocks   - as I noticed some land in your ref pics. Of course the rocks when textured could pass as iceburgs if the need be?

So the Perlan Noise generator will generate a random noise terrain.
Nothing serious. By the way I like your boat!

This is me at the moment http://andrewfinnie.blogspot.com/

cheers from oz :)

Well, the perlin thing gives me something new to stare blankly at... and the rock thing, ummm... I might be able to blink a few times and get something going in my head with that one ;)

Wow, this thing has some great potential. :D

I invited you (or something) on MSN so you know it's me. I'd very much like to get involved in this. This is almost what I've been searching for for a while.

I might model some miscellaneous stuff that you haven't mentioned, so I doubt you'll have modeled it yet. Stay tuned.
But mostly, for the game development, I'd consider looking into Unity 3D. You'd have to rig and animate models in MilkShape, but that's a small price to pay for an awesome game engine. :)
Just a suggestion, of course. ;)

I really like your ideas, Arik, and I hope I can get some time, stop being lazy and start using Anim8or again!
See ya 'round

well you asked for a 'small' church so that's what you are going to get ;)
nah, what i meant is that the building I'm modding to look like a church IS a Zelda temple that I've recreated, but the progress I've made so far in adapting it suggest that there wont be much Zelda left by the time I'm through. currently it has a good amount of pollys more than i intended, but that's only because i changed my mind on how i wanted to build the windows half way through :p don't worry though, ill clean it up

also, im not really good at texturing. I'm going to make an attempt, but it wont hurt my feelings any if you decide to make your own ;)
i havn't made enough progress to want to show anything yet, but ill have a few screenies up soon

eh, did you want .an8 or .obj?

Build a kewl, klean model that can look good if textured right, and and we'll see about texturing as it comes.

Main Character/Hero in the works...

A lot to do still, but trying to give him the look of a shipwrecked fisherman or something similar.

Head and hands are temporary "filler things" until I work on the real thing.

sounds great, blaze... I am taking a break from building thinking, and focusing just on the entry area... meaning the dock, main character, and life raft on which the main character arrives. Then will go onto the land from there.

i forgot about textures, it will probably be tomorrow for first screenies and on from there for the final. ill be kiking up my own project soon, but it shouldn't require a large amount of time on any constant basis, so ill be able to continue helping you out.
