Help! Project Due!
« on: June 01, 2010, 08:20:11 pm »

I have a project due soon for school and Anim8or is being stupid! I made a figure, set all the joint limits to correct degrees, put it in sequence and it will only rotate along the X axis! Its really annoying, I even tried locking the X axis and leaving the Y and Z ones with my normal joint limits, but when I went back to the joint limits window, the box had unchecked itself!

Just to be sure, I made a totally new project with everything default and no joint limits or anything, just made 2 bones in figure and tried to rotate one in sequence. It would still only rotate along the X axis.

Please help! I'm in a real fix here!

Check the manual regarding the mouse buttons and how they are used to rotate bones in different directions.  Note that the process varies a bit between Figure and Sequence modes.

sequence mode Steve coded main editing to work in prospective view

issue is you need to enable animate mode so button is green and select the tip of the bone
it will only rotate if you mouse clicks and hold on the edge tip left ,right ,middle mouse/(alt and right mouse )moves bone on different axis in prospective view-port will also work if free & no limit is set

other view-ports are locked to only work if you use following
back/front = middle mouse
left/right = left mouse
top/bottom = right mouse
