WaterSimulators
« on: March 19, 2010, 12:33:24 am »

Well I want a really freeform water object and was wonder if anyone knew of a good program/engine (or any would at least help) besides blender (just cause it keeps giving me issues with exporting?!?!?), with the download link please, that can simulate water of many types and export it.
I heard of watergen, and would like to try it, but unfortunetly I cannot find a link to download it. Thanks  ;D

Watergen is pretty buggy and messes up your file often. I can post it as soon as i'm on my other computer (and if I can find it...:s). Using morphs is the best way to simulate water in anim8or.

yea i think floyd is right. morphs are probably the best way to go. you can rig a plane or a bunch of layers of planes and make a large water bed with it. but i think for most everything you should go with morphs.

there is a cool video i saw a while back on youtube. try searching for anim8or lava lamp. its actually really good.

Here are two programs, which can simulate water in some way. Be careful with these programs, because the are not that stable and might corrupt your .an8 file. So make sure you save often.

Ok, so I yet have to try to get watergen to work, and waterparticle (no offense to the person to made it), SUCKS. I can do all that water particle can in cre8or, plus more! and be able to configure it quicker and easier.

Please tell me if there is any other water generators, Thanks, oh and i'm picticularly looking for one that would export to a file anim8or would use and make it in a object form (not particle, since I can do that in cre8or).
