The first thing you need to do is read the manual, carefully and thoroughly.  There is no shortcut to this.  Anim8or can render direct to AVI, a format playable in Windows Media Player, but rendering is pretty much the last step in building an animation.  Anim8or is indeed fun, once you have a basic understanding of how it works and what it can do.  If you have questions not answered in the manual, or you need some hints and tips, feel free to post here.  Looking forward to seeing some of your work.
