Very, very good
« on: December 25, 2009, 12:13:51 pm »

Hallo, i'm a 3d hobbyst. I'm using or tryied many 3d software, commercial too. Now i'm looking to Anima8or, and find it very good considering that's a small program not gigas of bytes like others. I would know how's going its development. Is ver. 1 near to come out?
Thanks.

Version 0.97d has a few new things over previous versions, like the ART raytracer. There hasn't been a lot of development news or activity recently, but this program is coming from a single author, who is doing this in his spare time. I prefer Anim8or for its simplicity and ease of use, and I don't feel like a "Version 1" is needed. Have fun with it.

There is not a specific timeline, and ver. 1 will most likely not be anything significants.  In other words, features come out as Steve (the author) finishes them.  Whether they come with ver. 1 or ver. .98 doesn't make a difference.
The development is slow but good quality (since it's made by a single author).  So if you're looking for professional features it wont be helpful, but it's one of the most intuitive and easy to use programs and is still high quality.
