« on: December 13, 2009, 02:12:12 pm »

I hv applied a texture on a box. the texture is wood texture. problem is, i m not seeing the texture on the box rather seeing brown color. According to manual it should show the texture on the mesh as soon as it is applied. There are no dicription about texture mapping on the manual. kindly help.

Use the UV tool. The box has to be a mesh first. Then click on a toll and a box will appear around it. when you move it around you will see the texture. Though you'll have to fix it cause some sides it will be all stretched out.

Thought i saw this same question just recently.
After you have added your texture:
Select your object and hit the 'UV' button, which is on your left in the side toolbar. (UV)
A popup dialog should appear and say 'Enable texture generation for: Mesh01. (or whtever mesh it is).
Click 'yes' and a yellow box will appear around your object, with a yellow grid.
Use left mouse button to rotate texture, right mb to slide texture, and middle mb to scale.
