Zoom?
« on: February 22, 2008, 05:03:13 pm »

Hi, I've had this thing for a while and I just started using it again.

Thing is, I forgot how to zoom in and out. Can anyone remind me? I tried help and forums search, but I didn't find my answer.

Thanks.

Click on the Arc-Rotate tool (top row, 4th from the right) and then Alt-Rt click and drag in the object window.

i just need to ask a question, i use the little eye icon to do all my view changing and zooming in and out, but most people seem to use the arc, is this just because you're more used to arc rotate, or is it better for modeling to use arc rotate, i haven't had any trouble using the eye, just thought i'd find out

Six of one, half-dozen of the other. The thing I like about the arc-rotate tool is that it's all-in-one, all you have to do is get the right combination of keys and mous buttons, rather tyhan having to click on specific tabs using the eye icon.

If you have a mouse with a middle clicker you can use that instead of the alt+right click.  'Alt + right click' is a substitute for the people that don't have middle mouse buttons.

Under which circumstance does the middle button work for zooming? That's one of the first buttons I tried (it's that kind that can turn like a wheel) even using the arc it didn't work.

The middle button should always work with the arc-rotate tool.  You don't spin the wheel, you click it.

Use the middle mouse button or Alt=Right Click
