paint my own materials?

ok, i need a link if yall can how to take a picture of say, the dirt or mud, or even paint my own and apply it to an object on anim8or. if you can help it'll be much appreciated =D

google it.

it a little more techical than you might think. but its free and you will ealrn what textureing is all about (if you experiment)
