Export and import problem
« on: February 17, 2008, 09:39:19 am »

Why is it that when I texture a model, export it to .obj format, and then import it back into Anim8tor, the texture dissappears? Can somebody help me?

I export objects with texture in .an8 format and they are fine when imported into another project. Give all your materials distinctive names so you won't overwrite them.

How do I make the textures .an8 format? I need to know because the textures I save to my models in UV mapper aren't showing up when I import the model back into Anim8tor.

Once you import the model back into anim8or you need to create your own material with the texture map on it.  You can find how to add 'diffuse' maps too your materials in the manual.
