you should have the default for bones as having no limit, because for bones that  I move I hate having to check "free" and "no limit" for every bone. If someone only wanted a bone to move on the z-axis, they could just uncheck the x and y on the sidebar. I hope you understand what I'm saying; its kind of hard to describe.
