« on: April 20, 2009, 04:14:06 pm »

Ive seen this topic a while ago. Im a little strapped for time so im just gonna ask again. Im at the library and there is no program i can paste my printscreen. I want to post my wireframes cause my edgloops arent very good, and i need some help. If you can help me out I'd apreciate it. My biggest concern is I CANT USE MATERIALS. if i click the mat icon the program shuts down. But if u can post it anyways please do. thanks

if you are on a pc then the computer should have paint. It's in the accessories folder. just past your print screen in that and save as a jpg.

Libraries often restrict the computers for kids, I used to manually un-restrict them when I didn't have the internet. It's in the browser settings. Best to restrict it again before you leave.

If you just need a paint program maybe you can try a free online program..
(like Sumopaint http://www.sumopaint.com/web/ )

get a flash drive (512MB-2GB), go to http://portableapps.com, and download their bare-bones suite, then download GIMPPortable. it's a free image-editing software package comparable to Adobe Photoshop, and it will run straight from your flash drive.

but the GIMP's native format, XCF, takes up around 10MB for a three-layer, 1024x768 image, so make sure you've got the room to mess around. it can export to JPG, BMP, GIF, PNG, etc...

Thanks for the help. None of it worked but they were great ideas. I cant get a flash drive. If i had money I wouldnt be at the library. That sumo program is awesome though. But, I cant past anything on it. Unless you know how to do it and can hook me up I dont think its gonna work. Thanks fellas
