« on: April 04, 2009, 06:33:40 pm »

Most unhappy make me the water (do you see that it shall be water?)

I have try to use a tutorial, but something go wrong and so I try to make water with my own art, but without luck  :-\

Have someone an idea, what I can make better?

I think that your water would look better if you used a different picture for your sky. There is not enough difference between the two which makes you lose the effect you made with the water.

I would also suggest to use a higher resolution worldmap image, it does not look too good when the globe comes close by ;)

I looks pretty good. I like the particle effect on the text.
The water could indeed use some work: try some of the ART reflections.
Also the world texture could be higher res. Try these maps: http://planetpixelemporium.com/earth.html

the water looks fine,  i mean no its not pixar quality, but you dont have a giant render farm at your disposal do you.(do you?)

Many thanks,

next I´ll try it with Art reflections, but first I will learn more and better understand about this method.
Now I have see, that the flying earth is an "old hat", so I think that is better to change the Idea, we´ll see.

@mak, I do not really understand "but you dont have a giant render farm at your disposal do you.", because my knowledge of english is only rudimental  >:(

A render farm is basically many computers working together to create an image, the main advantage is that they can create an image faster than a single computer could by itself.
