What do the blue lines mean?
« on: February 06, 2009, 10:11:13 pm »

I have most of the body made and im going to make the face seperate from the body. its really so i dont have the back of the head to mess with while im cutting up the face. I keep doing subdivided tests. i have to join solids b4 subdividing.

when im in object/edit mode (the arrow) with the wireframe on. once i join solids. i get a few blue lines. they really arent consistant with the rest of the model. the sort of appear randomly. i was just wondering what they were and if i should worry about them.

Maybe, the blues mean the angle the faces connect at are out of the smooth angle range you set your model to, and so will create 'creases' in the shading, e.g. an object with a smooth angle of 0 will have all the liens blue, will an object with a smooth angle of 180 will have no blue lines.
