Painted weights allows you to "paint" which vertices are effected by each bone.  So you have much more control, and it's also much easier to tell what's being influenced because of the colors.

Neat, reminds me of those sand and seeds, fistsized bags they used to sell. Put it on the window sill and water and it would grow hair (some kind of grass) just like that   ;)

Ive been thinking how about all of us noobs get together and form our own project. We all make models and create a short film. It would be a great way to learn more about anim8or and maybe some of the experts can help us on the way. (if they want) Give us advise on how to make our film better. What do you all think!!??
