enviroment map color
« on: November 01, 2008, 04:42:27 am »

this is the chrome enviroment map that is in the manual and then toneing
it down with steven's metals. but then had to use a neg emissive.
but in doing so I don't get this color in real time only with the scanline render.

so I'm still looking for a brass colored enviroment map that i can use
in realtime. if anybody has them that would be nice,I'm not good at
making enviroments. and can't seem to find them anywhere

Simple: open the environment map (attached), open it in a paint program (like pixia or gimp) and use layers to make the map a more brass like color.
Save the map and use this one as environment-map.

I'm don't use paint pro, so i can't help you with that. But it shouldn't be so hard: open the image, set a new overlay layer and take a brown/reddish brush.

So here is the Enviroment map 0-5 (clouds)
Let me know if you think they are good enough or if you find some flaws
you will need to download all six file's and the help  their are some links
in the help file.

I have edited the link hopefully it will be much simpler. I have included
the .an8 file in the zip.

http://www.iocc.com/~oven/index/Anim8/envmap-clouds.zip

could someone tell me are these links OK or not

The link works for me.
The environment map is nicely done!
The method looks like it was done nicely, and I commend you on that.  Thanks for sharing!
