need help with colors

ok i need help with colors... ???
ok more detail, i cant get things to look the way i want. everything is shiny. like my hamburger looks like its plastic. >:(

(note: im an uber newb) ;D

 :-\ I think going to a scene editor and making a moderate fog level would help but i'm not sure

All i can think of is using texture options:

Click the textures button (random four circles)
Then, Play around with the ambiance, specular and brilliance. ;D

I'm sure that will help your rendered image look a little less ::).. Plastic

Check out the manual. I haven't checked in awhile, but last time I looked it had a list of what each attribute does in the materials editor- Specularity, Ambiance, Diffuse, ect.

If you don't want the model to have any shine at all, you need to change the 'rough' to '0' and the 'specular' to 0.  This is in the material settings (I'm guessing you've already applied a material.)
If you haven't, you'll need to read the manual, it's a VERY useful thing to read.  It will teach you a lot!

ok i got it now. i just needed an understanding of diffuse,ambiance,brilliance ect.
