this is my first model. while viewing it as an object the handle has more contrast but im new to the renderer.

yeah i just started and im tryin to get good at using mesh points or whatever.  the only other thing ive made is a wooden crate that has a fragile sticker on it.

looks good but i got a tip for you. try drawing your design on a piece of paper first then scan it so it's on your computer. then create a cube on anim8or, then create a texture using your scanned picture and apply it on your cube. then delete dellete the 4 back points so you just have a square with your picture on it as shown, then use this as a template to help you design your sword. with this tip you can create some really cool looking swords like this one of mine.

In stead of making a cube then applying a texture yadda yadda, just go to build > reference image and load the image
