Exporting morph targets?
« on: October 13, 2008, 12:17:51 pm »

Hello!
I'm making a mesh, with morph targets, that I would like to use in XNA.
This is probably going to involve exporting my anim8or work into something that Blender can open, then exporting it as an FBX from Blender..

My question is just, can anyone recommend the best format for exporting anim8or models with all their data intact (such as morph targets)?

Thank you!

anim8or does not export morph targets with the model I think. It just exports the model in the state that the morph target is in. (hope that makes since) But I think you can export hte model like you normally do in a .obj format and export the morph target as a seperate model. Then import both models into blender and I think its called a blend key or shape key (what ever blender calls morph targets)  make the normal model the parent then blend the two objects together. I think as long as they have the same structure that they should blend together.

hope that helps
