This is probably the most simplest answer, and im sorry if this has already been posted, i have researched as much as i possibly can.. But i have made the movie what i want it to be now, do i render it? what does rendering do? Can i make it so that i am able to put it on a dvd or something? I am so confused with all of this!!! PLEASE help!!!!!!!

Well yes, rendering it out as a movie is what you want to do, rendering creates an image which can be saved as either a single image or as a frame that's part of a video file. Once rendered out as a image or video you can burn it onto disc using burning software, such as Nero, of course this would mean you would need a CD or DVD burner.

 To complete your movie, with post production editing and sound, you'll need a video editing software.
 (there are some free ones, but not sure of names off-hand).

  'Sony Movie studio' is not expensive, and is built up from 'Sonic Foundry Vegas Video', which is now quite old, but absoloutly rocks.

 Adding sound, and being able to edit together your final 'Anim8or rendered videos,  will really take you to that next stage of movie-making.

I havent rendered a huge scene or movie yet. But, I've heard horror stories about rendering movies. It usually takes a long time to do and just like anything else, things can happen. Anim8or might bug out and close or something or ur power might go out or many other things. I think the best bet (if its long) is to render frame by frame. that way if something does go wrong you can pick it up where u left off. Good job on making and finishing your project. Let us know where u post it on the net so we can watch.

so after you have rendered it... and it turns it to images, what do you do?

And where does the sound come, in?

The images you have can be composed to a movie using software like virtualdub or jpgtoavi. Or if you have a short movie you can directly render it to a .avi using anim8or. Just go render>render movie in scene mode. However loose images are better since you don;t lose any work if anim8or crashes.

When you have an movie file (.avi) you can add sound using windows movie maker or other video editing software (wax, vegas, premiere etc.).
