 ???  ??? ok,im running anim8or on XP,and 4 some reason,at random times, it just closes.no warning,error,query,it just stops.

You may have something that corrupted your .an8 file and is sending the program into never-never land.  If so, you may need to start from scratch (unless you done sequential backups of your model [HIGHLY RECOMMENDED]).

Have you tried it with a "known good" model?

well its only happened on this comp,and only the older files... your onto something,ill run the trend micro housecall virus scan,see what it finds.

By corrupted I don't mean infected.  Anim8or files are basically text-based, and it could simply be that several characters may have been altered or deleted somehow.  There used to be a utility that would scan an .an8 file and repair it as best it could.  It wouldn't necessarily recover it entirely, but at least it could save some work.

I don't know if that's your problem or not; it was just a thought.

Ooohh.well the scan showed a few trojans and that seems to be the problem anyway so thx!
