what if there were a button on the bone properties where you can click a Human Joint Limits button.you click it and it gives you a list of bones in the human body,and the bone is automatticaly set to that limit!

No, you'd want that as a script, not part of the program because it's too specific.

perhaps a function that would give you a list of joint limit presets that would be contained in a text file. that way, users could add their own and it wouldn't be so specific.

Yeah but then you'd have to make sure all the bones have the correct names, it would be easier just to have pre-built skeleton's and just import them every time (which I do)!
