This model of a GeeBee R2 aircraft was modeled by Jon.  He uses it in the Flight Unlimited 3 flight simulator, after exporting to .3ds format and a couple of conversion steps.  This model has less that 1800 faces due to limitations of the flight simulator, showing that you don't need mega faces for good models!
